First impressions mean everything.

We at WinnScapes Inc. believe that the best front landscapes give visitors an outstanding and long-lasting first impression while enticing them to enter the home. We wanted the front landscape of the Decorator’s Show House to have just as much of an impact as the inside of the home.

Our mission was to enhance the already established landscape, which included flowing walkways, retaining walls and mature plants. To do this, we first preserved the beauty of the property by performing general maintenance needs such as power-washing all stone structures to revitalize their brilliant colors, and revamping all grout lines in the bluestone walkway and stoop leading to the front entry.

We constructed a natural stone walk of irregular bluestone and southern buff steps that lures guests to a unique sitting area with a custom-made PAVERART inlay. The stone walk is complemented by new southern buff retaining walls.

We enhanced the planting beds by transplanting existing shrubs and perennials while adding new plant material that included seasonal color. We also installed fresh sod to replace thinning and sparse turf.

Our finishing touches of hand pruning all shrubs and groundcover, as well as edging and mulching all beds, transformed this year’s Show House into the landscaping masterpiece that Columbus has come to expect from central Ohio’s landscape professionals at WinnScapes Inc.
